Introducing
Honey-Comb Frame, SPIKE |
SPIKE
was first conceived in France in 1978. In 1982, it made
its debut as a new engineering technology at the 2nd International
Geotextile Conference (USA). Because it is so effective
and easy to use, it quickly proved a success, not only
in France, but all around the world. After entering into
a technological agreement with the French company ARMATER,
IZUMI obtained the Japanese manufacturing and distribution
rights to the product and has since been having great
success with it. Made of specially produced non-woven
cloth with exceptional water drainage and retention properties,
SPIKE's honey-comb shaped frame enables vegetation to
be used for bank stabilization and thus provides an excellent
means of preventing gully erosion. In addition, it is
also effective as a means of strengthening riverbeds and
roadbeds. Because this product is light, flexible, and
compact, installing it is relatively easy. And because
it is highly durable and tensile, it can also be used
as reinforcing material for concrete or asphalt. Recently
it is even being used on ski slopes as a snow retainer.
We are sure that SPIKE's user-friendliness and other excellent
qualities will make it suitable for other purposes, and
we look forward to working with you to find them. |
